  1. Ordered at weekend, delivered on Tuesday. Outstanding service, had to email reference missing item, it was posted that same day. Already placed second order. A lot of internet based companies could learn from your from your customer ethos. A breath of fresh air.

  2. This was my first pipe and my first smoke after getting to 40 years old!. I had been looking for a tobacconist store for a while where I live with no luck (I live in a little village). I didn’t think I’d have any luck on-line, but Then I found Duckworths! Excellent store with all you want in the same place, no more hunting for different things!. Ordering was easy and despatch was very fast and well packed. I will be back again soon, since I’m a newbie I will want to try different tobaccos :) Thanks for the first class postal service!.

    too much of this on the website.

    i can understand the need to let ppl know the dangers of smoking. i am more than positive that ppl already know this.

    maybe reduce it to once per page rather than every line.

  15. I have used this site once before and today have just placed my second order. I am impressed by the quality and the speed of service. This may well become my permanent home for my smoking needs! Great selection of items for sale and great choice of tobaccos. Also a lot cheaper than buying regular tobacco from the local newsagent or supermarket. VERY IMPRESSED.

  18. In answer to the question about James’s of Lichfield Street, Wolverhampton, it didn’t go anywhere – it simply closed down. I used to go there to purchase tobacco, pipe cleaners and pipe filters. After it closed I found another shop nearby which stocked Kendal Black Cherry but I could never find any Big Ben filters. I began using this site around that time (must be a couple of years ago) and the service has been excellent.

  25. I already placed my 4th order and I’m almost fully pleased with the service so far.
    On my 3rd order I received a wrong item and no response from the company on that when I placed the fourth one. (I wrote in the notes to the order so that the company would not get me the wrong item again (I ordered Amphora filters and received Adsorba ones)
    Other than that I am perfectly pleased with the communication, delivery and quality of the goods and if the matter will be resolved there will be no more place for me to buy something for my smoking needs and all the recommendations will go here.

    I am 27 years old. I have decided to become a pipe smoker because of the memories of my grandfather. I rememeber sitting on his knee listening to WW2 stories. The smell of pipe tobacco brings me right back and I tried smoking a pipe at christmas. I loved it. I look forward to many years of enjoyable smoking. I would like to ask though, am I the youngest pipe smoker? I do hope this fantastic hobby does not die out!

    I sent in a colibri pipe lighter for repair,it was just in its warranty. Mr chris duckworth sent the lighter to colibri for repair, and twice he was not happy with the repair by colibri, he then sent me a new lighter instead, This tells me that chris cares for his customers and products, i will be using duckworths in the future for my smoking needs, thank you very much chris, first class sevice

  38. Having used your services for a number of years, I would say that all the plaudits that you receive are well deserved. I have been hugely impressed with the speed and efficiency of your mail order service over the years. When I was in Wales recently I was able to pop into your shop and I was delighted with the friendly service received. My only, minor, quible would be that you appear to have some pipe tobaccos available in the shop that are not on the website!
    In view of the comprehensive range you do offer, this might seem like a carping criticism but I did purchase one tobacco from the store which I thought was excellent but have been unable to find it on the website.
    For other readers, I would reccomend a trip to Duckworths if you happen to be near Colwyn Bay. A truly excellent and unique store!

  39. Bought my first tobacco from this company, ak dutch and ak vanilla, both arrived wonderfully promptly, and my god are they good! Especially the vanilla, I had doubts about flavoured tobacco, but i will be ordering again soon, love the site and the products! I’m looking forward to trying something new when i finish this lot!!

  40. Great site and super service. I stopped smoking for a while when Dunhill (Medium Mixture) disappeared but missed my pipe and so am trying to find a mixture to suit me – no luck so far but its fun looking. I smoked Dobies mixture for years till that went the way of all things.

    Love the new look web page, would like to say better but the old one was exellent too so the new one is, BETTER than exellent.
    I am a relatively new customer to UK Tobacco, been using them for about 4 months now, have purchased several pipes and tobaccos from them. I can not recommend this company enough, their goods and service are first class and if you ever have to telephone them, they are very, very helpful in every way.   47. I sent a pipe to have its stem repaired, and I am extremely pleased with the result. I have more pipes to send for repair, and I know that they will be repaired to the highest standard. I also order tobacco from “Duckworths” and I must say that they have the most extensive stock that I have come across. WELL DONE111.
